Two political events are happening this weekend in Oswego and Plano
The Kendall County Democrats will hold a march on Saturday beginning at Hudson Crossing Park in Oswego. It's part of the National Woman's March happening across the country. The event starts at eleven with a speech from Democratic Congresswoman Lauren Underwood. There will be other speakers as well.
After that, the group will march up the Fox River Trail toward Oswego Village Hall and then back.
In Plano, beginning at noon at the memorial park on Route 34, there will be what organizers call a pro-Trump, pro-police, and pro-first responders rally. The rally will be spread out along Route 34. It's the third of such rallies held in downtown Plano with another scheduled for the following weekend at the same time. It's being planned with some local Republican candidates for office.
The rally is expected to last for four to five hours.
