Brandon Monney

Brandon Tyler Monney, 25, of Dekalb, IL, formerly of Brazil, IN and Oreana, IL passed away May 12, 2020 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. He was born May 1, 1995 in Decatur, IL the son of Jeffry and Linda (Schall) Monney. Brandon was a member of  Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was in Boy Scouts where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 31 of Argenta. He loved camping, fishing, hiking, bonfires, and anything that involved being outdoors. He was an avid Xbox gamer. Brandon loved Mountain Dew, chicken, and pasta. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and Mariah.

He is survived by his parents, Jeffry and Linda Monney of Dekalb, IL; two brothers, Nathan (Amanda) Monney of Sycamore, IL, Drew Monney of Dekalb, IL; three sisters, Karissa (Kevin) Gage of Montgomery, IL, Mandi Monney of Springfield, IL, and Lexi Monney of Bloomington, IL; one precious niece, Brynlee; and one precious nephew, Hudson; one Grandmother, Bonnie Fetters of Gilman, IL; the love of his life, Mariah Szekely; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Blondie and Barney Schall; and his Grandfather, Earl Fetters.

The Family would like to thank the nurses on the 11th floor Transplant Unit, the 7th floor CCICU team and the entire Northwestern Transplant Team. Please consider becoming an ORGAN DONOR.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements were entrusted to Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL.
