Carl F. Gustafson, 67, of Sandwich, IL passed away on December 24, 2020 at home surrounded by family. Carl was born on November 24, 1953 in Esmond, IL to Stanley and Marjorie (Aucock) Gustafson. He was born and raised in Esmond where he completed grade school. He graduated high school from Rochelle Township High School and obtained his associates degree in machinery at Kishwaukee College. He was a machinist at MTI Power Services in Marseilles where he retired. He was a handyman that could fix anything. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and going to their sporting events. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, a sportsman, and enjoyed the outdoors. He also enjoyed going to his cabin in Northern Wisconsin.

Carl is survived by his wife, Sandy; 3 children, Carl (Connie) Gustafson of Huntley, IL, Margaret (Richard) Day of Grayslake, IL and Zach Gustafson of Wauconda, IL; 2 sisters, Sheron (Gary) Gunn of Birchwood, WI and JoAnne (Daniel) Swanson of Birchwood, WI; As well as 4 grandchildren, Stryder, Everett, Blayke and Kyle.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

In leu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Church of Sandwich.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. Funeral services will be held privately the next day at the United Church of Sandwich, 512 Lions Rd. Sandwich, IL 60548. Interment will follow out to Greenview Cemetery in Esmond, IL. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
