On January 4th, 2021, Constance Lynn Balder, loving wife and mother of four, passed away at the age of 60. Living most of her life in Sandwich and Aurora IL, she recently retired to her dream home in Benton Kentucky in 2019, where she loved watching the bluebirds and hosting her family and friends on her “bucolic” back porch. Connie was actively faithful, lending her voice to multiple choirs and serving as a Stephen’s Minister. With generosity unmatched, she did not have to worry about the difficulties of a camel passing through the eye of a needle. Her time spent as a Girl Scout member and leader made her indispensable on camping trips her entire life and was lauded as being the camping craft guru as recently as October 2020. She loved spending time in her kitchen baking her love into sweets for her family and in her sewing room making things for friends and family and bonding with her grandchildren. Connie’s creative spark can still be seen shining through the talents of her children and grandchildren.

Connie was preceded in death by her mother Sue Nash. She is survived by her father Dan Nash, her brother David Nash, her husband David Balder, her children; Jennifer Rock, Patrick Molitor, Jacqueline Lustig, Thomas Molitor, her stepsons; Aaron and Adam Balder, and 13 grandchildren.

“Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.”
