Patricia Rados

Patricia M. Rados, age 77 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 28, 1942 the daughter of Leland and Irene (Kotowski) Taber.  Patricia was united in marriage on April 25, 1969 in Hinsdale, IL to Mr. Robert J. Rados and they spent the next 30 happy years together until his passing on March 23, 1999.

Mrs. Rados was a member of the New Hope Church in Plano, IL and enjoyed studying Bible prophecy. She was an avid animal lover. In her earlier years she was the owner and operator of Sugarpaw Cattery which was featured in the October, 1986 edition of Cat Fancy magazine. She was the first official breeder of Ragdoll cats in Illinois. Mrs. Rados loved to be at home raising her children, but also worked for many years as a waitress at The Flame restaurant in Countryside, IL. Patricia was a loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  Patricia is survived by her children, Russell Rados of Yorkville, IL, Robert M. Rados of Yorkville, IL and Jennifer (Daniel) Giampietro of Brookfield, IL; also two grandchildren, Amanda and Daniel Giampietro of Brookfield, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Irene Taber; and her brother, Robert Taber.  A Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL with Pastor Dennis Cocks, officiating. Interment will be held in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.  Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.  Arrangements by Nelson Funeral Homes & Crematory, http://www.NelsonFuneralHomes.com or (630) 553-7611.
