Pedro Gonzalez, age 52 of Plano, IL passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He was born on July 26, 1968 in Durango, Mexico the son of Manuel and Sotera (Ortega) Gonzalez.

Pedro was united in marriage on December 5, 1987 to Agustina Burciaga and they spent the next 32 years happily together. Mr. Gonzalez was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano, IL. He was formerly employed for many years at Imperial Marble in Somonauk, IL. He will always be remembered for his love of horses and farm life which we know he is now enjoying in heaven.  Pedro was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Pedro is survived by his wife, Agustina Gonzalez of Plano, IL; his children, Anacaren (Robert Rocha) Gonzalez of Plano, IL and Manuel (Laura Gomez) Gonzalez of Oswego, IL; his grandchildren, Melina Gonzalez, Emma Rocha, Emiliano Gonzalez and Camila Rocha; his siblings, Estela Rubio of Mexico, Maria (Renato) Quinonez of Durango Mexico, Rosa (Jose) Nunez of Plano, IL, Hermila (Benny) Barraza of Yorkville, IL and Maria (Romarico) Baca of Plano, IL; his sister-in-law, Luz Maria Gonzalez of Homer Glen, IL; also many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Sotera Gonzalez; his brothers, Antonio and Jesus Manuel Gonzalez; also his brother-in-law, Alfonso Rubio.

A Funeral Mass for family only will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1001 North Center Avenue, Plano, IL. Everyone is invited to attend the interment that will follow in the Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL.

Friends may visit from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street, Plano, IL.
