Samantha Zitoun

Samantha Johnson Zitoun, 27, of Serena, Illinois passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 24, 1991 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Corey and Cindy (Simpson) Johnson.  She graduated from Serena High School in the class of 2010.   She married Cody Zitoun on August 3, 2018 in Ottawa, IL.  Sam was a caring, loving person, a “Mother Hen” to her siblings, she never complained about helping to care for them.  She was an avid Blackhawks fan.

She is survived by her husband Cody of Serena, IL, her parents, Corey and Cindy of Ottawa, IL, her in-laws, Jim and Denise Zitoun of Marseilles, IL; her maternal grandparents, Ray and Paulette Simpson of Naperville, IL; paternal grandmother, Edith Johnson of Wedron, IL; her siblings, Vince Johnson of Ottawa, IL and Miranda (Hunter) Brennan of Ottawa, IL; her sister-in-law, Jamie Zitoun of TN; her beloved dog, Bauer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Don Johnson,    maternal great grandmother, Agnes Ondrla.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk, IL with Father Kevin Butler officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:30 to 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL.  In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Family.  For more information or to sign the online guest book go to www.EighnerFuneralHomes.com
