Sharon Lamb

Sharon G. (Kellogg) Lamb, 75, of Somonauk, IL passed away on October 30, 2019, at Kishwaukee Hospital in Sycamore, IL.  She was born September 26, 1944 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Keith and Mary Kellogg.  She married Thomas Lamb on February 18, 1977 in Yorkville, IL.  She was a member of the Cross Lutheran Evangelical Church in Yorkville, IL.  Sherry was a registered nurse who started her career at Mercy Hospital in Aurora, IL.  She went on to work at numerous hospitals until her retirement.  Even after she retired, Sherry still helped others in need.  She enjoyed gardening, horseback riding, her springer spaniels and baking chocolate chip cookies and sharing them with friends and family.  Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Tom of Somonauk, IL; her children, Jim (Beth) Garbelman of Wedron, IL, Tom (Michele) Lamb of Leland, IL, Jeff (Mary) Garbelman of Yorkville, IL, Scott (Erica) Lamb of Oswego, IL, Gina (Jeff) Conner of Yorkville, IL, and Jon (Heather) Lamb of Columbia, MO; thirteen grandchildren, Jeremy, Katy, Brynn, Emily (Justin), Wyatt, Ben, Olivia, Claire, Ryan, Owen, Tyler, Chance, and Nora; one great grandchild, Gracelynn; two sisters, Linda Wilson and Diane (Craig) Stewart; two brothers, John (Jan) Kellogg and David (Lynn) Kellogg; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one niece, and one great nephew.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Cross Lutheran Evangelical Church in Yorkville, IL, with Rev. Erik Gauss officiating.  Visitation will be on Monday November 4, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the church in Yorkville.  Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Aux Sable Grove Cemetery in Yorkville, IL.  For more information or to sign the online guest book, go to
