The Aurora Christian Eagles wrestling team finished 2nd at the Dual Team finals last weekend at the IHSA Dual’s.  The Eagles beat Peotone in the quarterfinals 47-30, Vandalia 38-30 in the semi-finals before dropping the championship match to powerful Lena-Winslow 44-20.

Against all three opponents five Aurora Christian wrestlers won their match.  In the quarterfinal match Julian Jaimes won a Major Decision 12-4 at 182, Angel Jaimes had a Major Decision 16-7 at 195, Darrell Gregg took his match in a fall at 1:25, Joel Mylin won at 106 with a Fall at 0:18 and Noah Villarreal had a Major Decision 14-5.

In the semi-final win over Vandalia Angel Jaimes had a tough 8-5 win at 195, Gregg won at 220 in a Fall at 5:09, Mylin also had a tough match at 106 winning 3-1, Villarreal got a forfeit at 132 and Julian Haimes won at 182 7-4.

In the championship matches Gregg won a thriller 9-8 at 220, Mylin had a Major Decision 12-1 again at 106, Villarreal won in a Tech Fall 25-10 at 132, Julian Jaimes had a 9-4 Decision at 182 and Angel Jaimes had a forfeit at 195.
