The Hinckley-Big Rock Royals are once again hosting a varsity boys basketball summer league. The League has played on three nights so far with one final week and the positioning round to go. Indian Creek and Newark lead the way so far each with 5-1 records.
Somonauk is now 4-2, with Hinckley-Big Rock, Earlville and Genoa Kingston each with 3-3 records. Serena and Parkview Christian Academy round out the teams. In Week 3 games Newark went 2-0 with wins over Somonauk and HBR. Indian Creek split two games losing to Genoa Kingston and beating Earlville. Genoa Kingston also won twice with wins over Indian Creek and the Cogs also defeated Serena. Somonauk after their loss to Newark bounced back to get by Parkview Christian Academy.
Serena and Parkview Christian Academy have had trouble picking up wins, but they have played some close games throughout the league. The positioning round is all set for next Wednesday with the final games played in the main and auxiliary gyms at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.. There will be regular league games at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. in each gym as well.
