Yorkville Foxes 250x250

Joliet Catholic came from behind to defeat the Yorkville Foxes 14-4 in baseball action.  Yorkville had taken an early 2-1 lead after one inning only to see Joliet Catholic score 8 runs in the second inning. 

Yorkville used 4 pitchers in the game as Evan May went the firs 11/3 innings and was tagged with the loss.  Kyle Koch, Sam Golinski and Cameron Caldwell also got some work in on the mound on the day. 

Cole Yearsley was 1-2 at the plate and drove in 2 runs on the day 1 with a first inning sacrifice fly.   Lukas Haddox was 1-1 with a walk, he was also hit by a pitch and had an rbi.

Yorkville is now 3-1 on the season after starting out with 3 straight wins.  The Foxes defeated Joliet West 3-2 in the season opener and also had a 13-3 win over West Aurora & 14-3 over Route 34 rival Sandwich.

The Yorkville Foxes will begin their Southern trip this week.
