The Kaneland boys golf team won the Marmion Cadet Invitational to start the Knights of Kaneland season on a great note. Kaneland had a 307 as a team ahead of the Marmion Cadets #1 team who shot a 331. Other local teams Aurora Central Catholic was 4th with a 355, West Aurora was 7th with a 374 and Marmion #2 had a 381.
Ryan Milton paced Kaneland with a 76 along with Josh Pehl who also shot a 76. Bryce Stair had a round of 77, Lucas Pehl shot a 78 and Hagan Rank added an 81. Head Coach Mark Meyer said “What a great way to start the year. Way to go Knights!”
The Knights added a dual meet win as well this week with a 169-183 win over LaSalle-Peru High School to begin the Interstate 8 Conference season on a winning note as well. Milton and Stair led the way with each shooting a 40. Kaneland will travel to Wheaton North next.
