The Little 10 2019 Boys Golf Tournament was held at Indian Oaks on Monday. Newark and Serena have had a co-op for the last several years as the Newark Boys Golf Team and for the third straight year they captured the team title. Newark posted a 346 well ahead of second place Somonauk who totaled a 382. Connor Baker represented the Norsemen of Newark an outstanding round of 76 and repeated as the meet medalist. RJ McCoy from Indian Creek finished 2nd with an 84.
Besides Baker for Newark Tanner Kunkel had an 87, Porter Arneson had an 89 and Dylan Cartwright chipped in with a 94 to give them their 346 team total. Somonauk with their second place finish was paced by Tyler Jansen with an 88, Charlie Vermeland had a 95, Jaylen Dion posted a 98 and Blaise McGowan added a 101.
For Indian Creek McCoy as we mentioned was 2nd overall with an 84 and Tyler Youssi added a 93, Hinckley-Big Rock was 4th as a team with Elliott McGuire leading the way for the Royals with a 99. Earlville was led by 3rd place overall finisher Branson Vahl who shot a 87. Vahl won a playoff with Kunkel for 3rd as they each shot an 87 on the day.
