The Oswego Co-op won the Boys Swimming Diving and Athletes With Disabilities Swimming titles over the weekend at the IHSA State Finals. Oswego East Athletic Director Bobby Kaminski send out a press release congratulating the teams. Kaminski reported “Impressively, the team scored in ALL three categories at the meet: Swimming, Diving and Athletes With Disabilities Swimming.” He said “ A BIG congratulations are in order for these competitors.”
Austin Millard a Sophomore from Oswego HS finished 8th in the 200yd Freestyle, earning All-State Honors in that event. Jalen Kaku a Senior at Oswego East was 24th in the Diving Competition. Max Prado a Senior at Oswego East was 10th in Diving earning him All-State Honors.
A proud Kaminski told us Sophomore Marshall Hodge was the STATE CHAMPION in the Athletes With Disabilities Class B 200yd Freestyle. He was also STATE CHAMPION in the AWD Class B 100yd Freestyle and STATE CHAMPION in the AWD Class A 100yd Breaststroke. Hodge was a three time STATE CHAMPION and earned All-State Honors in 4 events as he was 3rd in the AWD Class B 50yd Freestyle.
