The Oswego Panthers and the Oswego East Wolves boys golf teams had a head to head matchup against each other at Blackberry Oaks Wednesday, Aug. 21 in the afternoon. Not only a big rivalry exists between the but they are two member of the Southwest Prairie Conference. The Panthers were able to get by the Wolves in this one 152-170.
The top four golfers for the Panthers shot in the 30s on this warm, muggy day led by medalist Jack Rimington who carded a 36. Pat Hranka was next with a 38, while both Blake Ginn and Nikolia Sardo had a 39 on the day. Ethan Albaugh finished just out of the top four with a 41 with Reese Pravola carding a 47 and Ryan Dunham netting a 49.
Oswego East was led by Gavin Hjelle again with a 39 as once again he had to best round for the Wolves. Justin Crawford shot a 43 followed by both Max Woods and Ryan Bowen who each carded a 44. Three more Wolves shot in the 40’s led by Camden Bonney with a 45. Mike Hugelier had a 48 and Ryan Blanco added a 49.
