The Sandwich Lady Indians girls golf team improved to 13-1 on the season after they defeated Kaneland and Ottawa in the Lady Indians final home match. Sandwich scored a 208 on day with Kaneland shooting a 224 and Ottawa a 236 over at Edgebrook Golf Course.
Alijah Campbell led Sandwich with a new personal low score of 43 to take medalist honors on the day. Campbell’s Coach Stan Guilinger said she “scored the 43 on a tough back 9 tonight” in his post- match comments. Guilinger also said “The girls continue to play well and push each other to improve.”
Seniors Jillian Fuchs shot a 54 and Josie Gonzalez added a 55. Grace Donahue finished out the Lady Indians scoring with a 56. Morgan Ross and Hanna Reedy shot a 62 and 68 respectively on the day as well. The Lady Indians will compete in the Interstate 8 tournament at Rochelle Country Club next Tuesday.
