The Somonauk Boys Golf team defeated Earlville 203-217 at Edgebrook Country Club on Monday afternoon. The Bobcats were led by Alex Krejci who took medalist honors on the day with a low score of 47. Others to score points for Somonauk were Tyler Jansen, Jaylen Dion and Carter Andrews.
Earlville was led by Jermey Weymouth who had a team low of 48 just one off medalist honors. Connor Cook added a 5, Rocco Morsovillo and Trenton Fruit each shot 57s for Earlville. Griffin Cook also golfed for Earlville in their season opener.
In the girls meet Earlville was led by Kaydence Harp with a 50 for medalist honors on the day. Lexi Campbell had a 54, Ella Harp added a 61 and Avery Strohm had a 69. This was also the season opener for the girls from Earlville. Earlville had a 234 and Somonauk a 243.
Somonauk had four girls make the scoring column as Kara Anderson led with a 56, Amanda Sanderson had a 59, Haley Morris shot a 61 and Brielle Dukovac had a 67. Both squads will return to action in the next few days.
