Plano Community Unit School District No. 88 is seeking applicants from senior citizens and/or veterans who would like to apply for an honorary high school diploma from Plano High School. To be eligible, an the individual must have: (1) resided within the Plano School District boundaries (District #25, 153 or 88) at the time they left grade or high school (2) could not attend or left high school before graduating to serve in the armed forces or due to employment or family commitments during war time or other emergency, (3) served in the United States armed forces during World War II, the Korean Conflict, or during the Vietnam Conflict, and (4) has not received a high school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma. Diplomas may be posthumously awarded upon application by next of kin.
