Morris Republican State Senator Sue Rezin voted against the passage of the proposed Illinois spending plan that was approved along party lines Thursday.

Rezin says the proposal left out many initiatives that Republicans wanted.

Rezin says this year's budget process was one of the better ones for Republicans having input.

Rezin says there are parts of the budget that she supports such as education funding for K-12 and college.

The $50 billion spending plan now heads to the Illinois House which could act on it as early as Saturday morning. If approved in the House, it will head to Governor J.B. Pritzker's desk.
