Note to Readers: Information presented here is obtained from the city police and sheriff's departments. Individuals listed in reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court.

Mendota Police Department:

Mendota police on Sunday arrested 33-year-old Jose A. Morales, of Plainfield. Morales is charged with domestic battery. He was taken to the LaSalle County Jail.

Oswego Police Department:

Oswego police arrested 23-year-old Loren Cain on Saturday from the area of Paradise Parkway and Terrace Lane. Cain is charged with two counts of criminal damage to property. Cain was booked at the Oswego Police Department and then released with her notice be in court.

Plano Police Department:

23-year-old Julian Rivara, of Plano, was arrested by Plano police during a traffic stop in the area of Route 34 and Pence Street. Rivara is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. He was released his notice to appear in court.


Plano police on Saturday arrested 42-year-old Matisa L. Maltbia, of Aurora, during a traffic stop in the area of Rock Street and Center Street. Maltbia is charged with possession of crack cocaine. She was taken to the Kendall County Jail and later posted bond to be released.

Yorkville Police Department:

Three were taken to local hospitals after a two-vehicle crash at W. Orange Street and S. Main Street in Yorkville Thursday. Yorkville police say a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Teri L. Wright, of Flossmoor, was heading west on Orange Street when it crashed into a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Tiffany R. Wainscott, of Sandwich. Wright, Wainscott, and a passenger in Wainscott's vehicle were all taken to local hospitals. Wright was ticketed with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
