Note to Readers: Information presented here is obtained from the city police and sheriff's departments. Individuals listed in reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court.

Oswego Police Department:

Two people were arrested by Oswego Police in the 1700 block of Route 30 on Saturday. 26-year-old Kevin Padilla, of Romeoville, is charged with possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm without a FOID, and possession of ammunition without a FOID. He was taken to the Kendall County Jail.

Also arrested was 19-year-old Talyn A. Chandler, of Plainfield. He's charged with possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle and resisting/obstructing a police officer. Chandler was released with his notice to be in court.

Yorkville Police Department:

Yorkville police on Saturday arrested 34-year-old Lauren K. Shemansky, of Montgomery, and charged her with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. Police allege that Shemansky hit a parked vehicle in the 1200 block of N. Bridge Street and then left without leaving her information. An officer said to have observed the crash pulled Shemansky over. After further investigation, Shemansky was charged with driving under the influence. She was taken to the Kendall County Jail and has since posted bond to be released.
