A 25 year-old man from Aurora has been identified as the individual who was found dead in the Fox River near Yorkville on Friday.

Purcell says an autopsy was performed on Sunday which is also pending further study.

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said late Friday that kayakers in the Fox River near Yorkville apparently discovered a dead body in the river on Friday evening around 5:16 p.m.

Deputies responded to the area of Quinsey Lane near Yorkville, in unincorporated Kendall County near the Fox River, after kayakers came upon what they believed was a dead body in the river which was determined as such during investigation from the sheriff's office.

Just this past August, kayakers came across skeletal remains of an Aurora man in the Fox River in Kendall County near the Route 30 bridge between Oswego and Montgomery.

Thirty-year-old Trey Nathan Key Soesbe of Aurora was a former Army National Guard Specialist, was reported missing in December of 2015 and was last seen by a family member Dec. 29, 2015 when he was dropped off at a homeless shelter in Aurora but never registered or spent a night there.

Following further study into that case, Purcell says Soesbe was determined to have been wearing the same clothes from when the family member last saw him in December of 2015. However, Soesbe's cause of death was determined as unknown and the manner of death undetermined.
