Open Door Rehabilitation Center in Sandwich is debuting a new mural at its East Building on South Wells Street. The mural features a colorful octopus named ODDO. Open Door Public Relations Coordinator Kayla Gomez says ODDO represents the mission of Open Door.

ODDO stands for Opening Doors and Developing Opportunities. Gomez is inviting the public to come out and see the mural and maybe pose for photo with ODDO.

Gomez says the clients of Open Door seem to be enjoying the mural which was finished up earlier this week.

ODDO's tentacles represent work and money, community and service, health and well-being, personal image and self direction, personal relationships, culture and spirituality, fun and recreation, and home and personal space.

Open Door provides services and housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization serves around 125 clients.
