Fire officials say fire crews responded to a dryer fire at the Plano Laundromat Express on W. South St. on Thursday afternoon.
Little Rock-Fox Fire Chief Greg Witek says firefighters were called around 2:30 p.m. after a system alert.
Chief Witek says that while the dryer fire produced a significant amount of smoke that could be seen for several blocks, the fire was extinguished quickly and did not cause building damage.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
Crews remained on scene after extinguishing the initial fire on Thursday afternoon to check that no exhaust duct work was burning.
