An Elgin man has been arrested in connection to a police chase and crash early Friday morning in St. Charles. The Kane County Sheriff's Office says 32-year-old Quenelle M. Franklin is charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, speeding, along with some other charges.
Police say Franklin was arrested later Friday morning after he was found locked in the bathroom at a Shell gas station in the 300 block of West Main Street in St. Charles.
Police allege that Franklin fled from a sheriff's lieutenant who tried to pull him over for alleged traffic violations on Randall Road Friday morning. Franklin is alleged to have crashed into two parked vehicles on Dean Street while fleeing causing one of them enter the roadway which was then hit by a sheriff's lieutenant. No one was hurt. Police were initially unable to find Franklin Friday morning after he had fled on foot.
Franklin is being held in the Kane County Jail.
