Former Plano Public Works Director Nathan Bullard pleaded guilty to theft last month.
Bullard was accused of stealing tools from the City of Plano back in June. Bullard's address in Kendall County Court documents is listed as being in Anna in Southern Illinois.
Sentencing with the plea includes two years of probation and fines and fees worth $3,309, due by August of 2023. Bullard will also need to complete 100 hours of community service.
Bullard has been free since posting bond after turning himself into police in Southern Illinois.
The Plano Police Department says that an investigation began into Bullard when city employees noticed that some tools were missing. Bullard had resigned from the job of Public Works Director in March.
