Joliet Police arrested 27-year-old Adriana Oray on Thursday and charged her with two counts of endangering the life or health of a child. Oray has since been released on bond.
Police had learned that a teacher had contacted the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) after a seven-year-old student had said during a remote learning session that no adults were home.
Police arrived at the the home in the 900 block of Lois Place and found the seven-year-old student and a three-year-old. There were no adults home. The children were taken into protective custody by Joliet police.
Police called Oray who came to the Joliet Police Department where she told police that she is a self-employed massage therapist and had gone to client's home in Indiana. Oray was arrested without incident. The children were taken into custody of DCFS.
