The Kane County Health Department, in collaboration with the Kane County Board, is opening a new mass vaccination site in Aurora at the former Carson Pirie Scott building at 970 North Lake Street.

The site will be open Tuesday through Friday from nine to six. It is one of four recently announced clinics. Sites opening in Kane, Will, and Lake counties are new and an existing Grundy County site is being expanded. The vaccine site in Aurora will serve all eligible Illinois residents.

Beginning April 12 Everyone in Illinois age sixteen and older will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Kane County Board says the goal of the new site is make even more vaccine appointments available to residents.
