Four juveniles from the Rockford area were arrested after a police chase in Kane County Monday. The Kane County Sheriff's Office says Campton Hills Police were called for a report of a motor vehicle burglary in the 40W400 of Carl Sandburg Road. Police were given a description of the suspect vehicle by the victim.
A Kane County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle in the area of Route 64 and Campton Hills Road, but the driver refused to stop. As police continued the pursuit they also learned that the vehicle was stolen.
A deputy eventually used a spike strip in the area of Route 47 and Conners Road which stopped the vehicle.
One fifteen-year-old from Rockford was charged as a juvenile with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and two counts of aggravated fleeing an eluding. The other juveniles were turned over to their parents.
