National Gun Violence Awareness day will be on June third to spread awareness about gun violence and remember those who have suffered.

A proclamation was approved at Tuesday's Kendall County Board meeting to raise awareness of gun violence. Board member Robyn Vickers, who chairs the Health and Environmental Committee, read the proclamation which says the county must do more combat gun violence.

The number of gun violence incidents continues to grow.

Kendall County's top priority is public safety.

The county is asking the community to wear orange on June third to spread gun violence awareness.
