Sales Tax Calculator

The Kendall County Board could soon be in an agreement with the State of Illinois that would allow certain elected officials and staff to see sales tax data from businesses in Kendall County.

County Administrator Scott Koeppel says it will benefit the county for planning and budgeting.

The information received through the agreement is only allowed to be seen by the designated people within the county. According to county documents, that includes County Board Chairman Scott Gryder, Finance Committee Chair Matt Kellogg, Administrator Koeppel, State's Attorney Eric Weis, and a few others.

Koeppel isn't sure on the depth of data yet.

The county can request information on any taxpayer required to report sales tax.

The topic was discussed by the Kendall County Board Finance Committee on Thursday. It still needs full board approval. The item is on the County Board's agenda for its Tuesday meeting at 9 AM at the county office building in Yorkville.
