The Kendall County Sheriff's Office earlier this month donated a retired squad car to Oswego Township.

Township Supervisor Joe West picked up the vehicle. It will be used by the Oswego Township Code Enforcement Officer who is in charge of enforcing the township's ordinances.

Kendall County Sheriff Dwight Baird says inter-agency partnerships show how government can work together to benefit taxpayers. Baird says donating the retired squad to be used used by Oswego Township reduces the burden on taxpayers and supports another local unit of government.

Baird says the vehicle has served the residents of Kendall County for some time and now will continue to serve the residents of Oswego Township.
