Authorities in LaSalle County are continuing to investigate the explosion that killed three men on the shore of the Illinois River near Utica in May. Coroner Rich Ploch says he's awaiting additional test results from autopsies and toxicology tests. Ploch says there more tests than are normal being performed in this case. He anticipates results in two to three weeks.

The three men who were killed, 39-year-old Immer E. Rivera Tejada, 26-year-old Guillermo E. Rivera Tejada, and 36-year-old Rafael R. Rivera Tejada, were all from the same family. The three are from Chicago. Their families have hired a law firm to look into the blast.

LaSalle County authorities say it was caused by a black powder device and have said that it wasn't caused by leftover bridge demolition material.
