The Dolton man who police say pinned an officer between his vehicle and a squad car last week has been arrested and was transferred to the Will County Jail. Police fired their guns and hit 38-year-old William Jenkins, of Dolton, wounding him.

Jenkins had been receiving treatment at a local hospital. He was booked into the Will County Jail Monday. He's currently charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and parole violation.

Police had pulled Jenkins over in Joliet on Tuesday last week and tried to arrest him in connection to a drug investigation. Jenkins allegedly sold cocaine to undercover agents.

Police say Jenkins put his car into reverse and pinned an officer to their squad car in a restaurant parking lot in the 100 block of N. Center Street. Assisting officers then shot Jenkins. The officer that was hit was treated and released from a local hospital.

Jenkins has not been charged for the arrest incident.
