From Gibson County in Southwestern Indiana to DeKalb County in Northern Illinois, Max Armstrong has strolled many fairgrounds.
Max Armstrong is one of the most widely recognized and highly regarded agricultural journalists in America. He has done farm broadcasts from every state in the US and from more than 30 different nations.
However, when the time comes to kissing a red lipstick-smeared, squealing baby pig, interviewing a fair queen, or competitively milking a cow, Max will pass. As he once said at the 2018 Sandwich Fair live noon show broadcast, the only pig to touch his lips is bacon.
All those county and state fairs, Armstrong is a spokesperson for the 4-H and Future Farmers of America, but you may not know this.
County fairs have always been a place of memories, even new ones to come.
A Sandwich Fair without a noon show by Max is like, well...a fair without livestock, the carnival, or a savory pork chop lunch.
