A Montgomery man is being charged in a murder that happened outside of a party in May.
23-year-old Ladarius A. Parker is accused of shooting and killing 30-year-old Christopher B. McMorris, of Aurora, on May 2 while McMorris sat in a vehicle outside of a home in the 1700 block of Stonegate Drive in Montgomery.
Parker was arrested by the U.S. Marshal Service in Freeport on Friday.
According to news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office, Parker is charged with first degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
Parker's bond was set at $3 million on Saturday. Parker is being held in the Kane County Jail. He's due back in court on January 19. The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Montgomery police at 331-212-9074.
