Oswego police say a Naperville man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car on Route 30 near Kendall Point Drive Wednesday. Police identified the driver of the motorcycle as 31-year-old James B. Khawshaba, of Naperville. Police say Khawshaba was heading east on Route 30 when he collided with a westbound vehicle making a left turn onto Kendall Point Drive driven by 55-year-old Lorrie Lackland, of Oswego.
After the crash, Khawshaba was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. Lackland was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. She was ticketed for failure to yield turning left and for driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
Route 30 was shut down for about five hours between Fifth Street and Goodwin Drive. Police say the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
