Tuesday marks ten-years since the disappearance of then six-year-old Timothy Pitzen, of Aurora. The case is still under active investigation by the Aurora Police Department.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children released an image of what Pitzen could look like today at sixteen-years-old.

The day Pitzen went missing in 2011, his mother Amy had unexpectedly picked him up from school. She was found dead a few days later in a Rockford Motel with no sign of her son. Police said that Amy had committed suicide and left a note that Timothy would be well taken care of.

Aurora police investigators hope the new age progression of Timothy Pitzen will help someone recognize him. Tips can be reported to the Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678 or the Aurora Police Department's Timothy Pitzen tip line at 630-256-5516.
