Open Door Rehabilitation Center in Sandwich received a grant for $2,500 from the Yorkville-based Oliver-Hoffman Foundation. The grant will help support Open Door's recreational programs. Recreational programming is held in two day workshops and in each of Open Door's nine group homes where classes are held in-person or virtually. Open Door provides programming and services for adults with with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Oliver-Hoffman Foundation provides grants and raises awareness of organizations that serve individuals with disabilities or other under-served groups.
