The new Oswego entertainment venue on Station Drive will be hosting a national act in August. The VetFest 141 Foundation will host country duo LOCASH. VetFest will be August 26-29. It raises funds for local charities focused on veterans and School District 308.
Oswego Village President Troy Parlier says the venue is already being used for events.
Parlier says the stage will be completed soon and that he hopes to hold a ribbon cutting in August. Parlier says it's good that Oswego is part of a national tour.
Parlier says the venue first and foremost is meant to be a community asset. The village has been using a mobile stage at the venue.
The village has spent about $571,000 on the venue. It received another $238,000 in grants and another $315,000 in donations of materials.
