The Oswego Fire Protection District is introducing a program where businesses can borrow an automated external defibrillator (AED) from the department. AEDs require only basic training to use, according to the fire department.
The fire protection district will provide training for businesses in the program, however it will be up to the businesses borrowing the AEDs to maintain them.
The Oswego Fire Protection District received the AEDs through a military surplus program. They will be provided for free to businesses.
Businesses interested in the program could contact the Oswego Fire Protection District for more information.
