Police in Oswego are investigating a death caused by what they say appears to be an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police say they were called to 800 block of Columbus Drive on Tuesday to find 39-year-old Jeremy A. Mulder with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Mulder was conscious when police arrived. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Police say the death is under investigation still, but they think the gun went off accidentally while Mulder was handling it inside his home on Columbus Drive.
Police say additional details may be released as they become available.
A Gofundme fundraiser has been formed to help Mulder's family. According to the fundraiser, Mulder had a wife and three children.
