Oswego Village President Troy Parlier has been elected as the Metro West Board of Directors President. The board leads the Metro West Council of Governments which is an organization that represents Oswego, and its neighbors, in Springfield and Washington. There are 33 municipalities in the organization.
Parlier says his election as president of the board will allow Oswego to have a bigger voice in major decisions that will affect the region and recognizes the leadership role taken on by the village.
Parlier was serving as the board's vice president. Oswego Village Administrator Dan DiSanto currently serves as the board's treasurer.
