The Plano City Council Committee of the Whole is scheduled on Monday to hear from DeKalb-based OC Creative on some possible new branding for the city. The topic was discussed recently by the Plano City Council's community development committee.

Mayor Mike Rennels is looking for some consistency with how Plano is represented.

Rennels says if the city decides to hire the firm, community input will be part of the equation. He says the reaper, an unofficial symbol of the town, could be up for discussion.

Rennels says things are still early and no final decisions have been made about logos or designs.

Rennels says the city has looked at a couple a different graphic design firms and thinks that OC Creative is a good choice. Rennels says the company has done design work for other cities.
