Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger is among those reacting to the signing of a major criminal justice reform bill in Illinois on Monday. Kinzinger is calling the bill dangerous and misguided. He says it puts victims of violence at risk and takes away due process from police.

Republican State Senator Dave Syverson, of Rockford, is calling the legislation anti-police. He says it was "rammed" through the General Assembly without input from law enforcement. Syverson represents the northern portion of DeKalb County.

Plainfield Republican State Rep. Mark Batinick says he's disappointed with Governor J.B. Pritzker's decision to sign the bill. Batinick says he has deep concerns about how the bill will alter law enforcement in Illinois. Batinick represents Plainfield and parts of Oswego.
