The Sandwich Fair has issued an advisory for its five-day run this week. Because the fair is an outdoor event, masks will be optional during the fair. According to the fair’s web site, the Sandwich Fair is not under any mandates to regulate mask wearing or capacity. Attendees who choose to attend do so under their free will.
In partnership with the DeKalb County Health Department, the Sandwich Fair Association and its vendor partners have taken the following precautions to minimize the risk of exposures during the fair.
-Provide attended restrooms throughout the fairgrounds dedicated to cleaning high touch areas
-Increase hand washing stations and hand gel throughout the fairgrounds
-Open building doors to their fullest ability throughout the event
-Increase disinfection to the carnival (please see North American Midway Entertainment website for complete details)
-Encourage anyone who does not feel well or exhibiting signs of COVID-19 to remain home
In addition, the Main Stage Ticket Office by the grandstand seating area will be open from 9am-4pm Tuesday for ticket purchase for the main stage events. Tickets will be continued to be sold in person and online during the fair up until the time of the event during the fair.
