Sandwich First Ward Alderman Bill Littlebrant keeps his seat after Tuesday's Consolidated Election. He says he wants to focus on improving streets and reducing flooding in the city.
Littlebrant also says that the city is going in the right direction with the renovation of the new police station on 6th Street. He thinks that a sewer rate hike of six percent each year will likely be needed to pay for Illinois Environmental Protection Agency mandated updates the sewer treatment plant.
Littlebrant defeated Kacey Slusher for the Ward One seat. Littlebrant was appointed after the seat was vacated by Les Redden when he left office last year.
