Bus Fire in Aurora

Four students and a bus driver are safe after a school bus went up in flames in Aurora on Monday morning.

Aurora Police Lt. Jeff Wiencek told WSPY no injuries occurred after an engine fire fully engulfed the bus in flames on Stoughton Ct. just off of East New York St.

The bus was apparently a First Student school bus that was headed to Patterson Elementary School in Naperville.

Aurora Police were called to the area at 8:27 a.m. however, no police report for criminal or traffic matters was filed.

Aurora Fire officials could not be reached for comment.
