Some late-season snow is expected in the WSPY listening area on Tuesday. Rain expected Monday night will turn to snow Tuesday morning and continue through Wednesday. Some slushy accumulation is expected. Drivers should watch for slick roads.

The National Weather Service Chicago says accumulation will depends on if snowfall rates are high enough to overcome the warm ground.

A freeze watch goes into effect Tuesday night and lasts through Wednesday morning. Sensitive outdoor plants that are uncovered will be killed or damaged. The National Weather Service says seasonal conditions should return later this week.
