Batavia Police arrested 51-year-old Timothy J. Ruschke, of St. Charles, Wednesday from a store in the 300 block of N. Randall Road.
Police say Ruschke was approached by a store employee who had requested that he put on a face covering per store COVID-19 policy. Ruschke then allegedly lifted his shirt to display a handgun in his waistband. Police say the employee was alarmed and disturbed. Police later found Ruschke in the store and he was arrested without incident.
Ruschke is charged with disorderly conduct. A court date in Kane County is pending.
